Holiday Concert

This is a reminder that we are hosting our annual Primary Musical Extravaganza.  Students in FDK  Grade 1, 2 & 3 have been practicing their performance skills.   They will be showcasing their skills on  Wednesday December 13th 2017 at the dress rehearsal beginning at 10:40 a.m. and at the evening performance beginning at 6:30.   We are also very excited to have our band perform between each primary class.    We look forward to a day of music and celebration as we head into the holiday season.     We ask that student that are in the band to arrive at 6:00 PM.

Brookville Community Kindness

We are excited to support families in need with your generous and kind donations for for the holiday season.  Each class has been given a family to support.   If you have not donated as of yet, you still have time as we are collecting until mid next week!.  We are also collecting can foods to support our canned food drive.   These initiatives will support the Holiday Hamper and Food Drive Program.

Inclement Weather

As we head into the colder weather please ensure your child comes to school dressed for outdoor time.  Students will spend a minimum of two twenty minutes breaks outside.  Please see the information regarding Inclement Weather.

Bussing Changes

Please ensure you check out the Student Transportation Services website for updates and changes to your child’s route, bus cancellations and or delays.   Our school does not facilitate any changes.  When we are made aware of a change we will notify families that are impacted with messages that we receive.  We hope that this clarifies any questions or concerns you may have.

Bullying Awareness Week

The Grade 8 Allies visited all of the Grade 4 - 8 classes and delivered multi- media presentations on Bullying Awareness.  Students learned about the different kinds of bullying, the impact of bullying on everyone, the power of just one person and the different ways to create a safe, caring and inclusive school culture where all children feel they belong.

Friendship Bench

Thank you to Kim and Glenn English for donating a Friendship Bench to the School.  The bench was unveiled at the Primary Bullying Awareness Assembly.  We are currently thinking about how and where we can create a positive space on the school yard where the bench can be placed for students to access when they want to make new friends or to take a mindful moment.

The movie “Wonder”

The grade 5 - 8 students donned their pink shirts and watched the movie “Wonder”.  Upon their return, students participated in engaging discussions about standing up to bullying, courage and resilience.

Trip to the Velodrome

Today, the grade 6 students had the opportunity to visit the Velodrome and see some world cup cycling!  Brookville was 1 of 4 Halton schools to see this event.  Our grade 6 students are now looking forward to their own opportunity to test the track!

Spirit Wear

If you have ordered Spirit Wear it will be arriving before the holidays!  We are looking forward to showing off our new Spirit Wear.
