September 2019

We have had a great start-up this year!  Our first few days have been filled with getting back into routines, fostering new relationships, and connecting with old friends.  It is always so wonderful to see the children outside during our nutritional breaks running, playing and laughing together. The staff at Brookville are looking forward to a year filled with innovative thinking, learning, and teaching!   As always we appreciate your insight and support in continuing to make Brookville the most wonderful place in Halton to send your children!   Wishing you a great school start-up and fantastic fall.

Many initiatives are up and running at Brookville!  Our intermediate students are engaged in many leadership opportunities.  Some of the school teams are currently being created and a few have participated in tournaments.  We would like to remind families to send their children to school with a jacket as the weather is getting a little chillier.  We are looking forward to some of the traditions that we have at Brookville during the fall and look forward to new learning and opportunities for all students.

August 2018

Dear Brookville Families,

Welcome Back!   Welcome to all returning families and a special welcome to the new families who are joining us this year.  It is hard to believe that school starts next Tuesday! Mr. Morton and I are looking forward to working with you and your children this school year.  Over the past few weeks, Mr. Morton has come to learn that Brookville is an amazing place to spend each and every day! We are excited to work with such a wonderful dynamic team of educators, office staff and custodians.  All staff have been working hard, meeting with colleagues, organizing classroom materials, preparing learning areas, registering and welcoming new families in order to create an inviting and safe learning environment for all children. We would like to welcome a few new staff members who will be joining our team this year! Welcome to Madame Jennings, Madame Curtis, Ms. Nesbitt, Mr. Perczyszyn, Ms. Reimer and Mrs. Brown.  A complete list of all staff members will be accessible through our school website at

During the month of September, we will be re-establishing routines, getting to know one another and building new relationships with new families and staff.  For all students, a new school year is exciting as we begin a new journey together. We encourage all our students to engage in opportunities to develop their talents and skills.  To continue to learn, grow and succeed as well as develop a strong sense of belonging and pride as a student of Brookville.  We would like to thank you for encouraging your child to build new relationships, become more independent and focus on developing their critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills during this school year.

Our day is divided into three 100 minute blocks of instructional time beginning at 8:20 a.m. and concluding at 2:40 p.m. As always please feel free to contact your child’s teacher should you have any questions or concerns. Your partnership, support, and feedback makes Brookville a wonderful learning environment!

We hope that you all take a few minutes to add twitter to your devices as we plan on tweeting information to you. Keep checking for pictures of the courtyard!!!

Class lists will be posted on our school website on Friday, August 31st, 2018 after 3:00 p.m.  Class lists will be posted using your child’s Ontario Education Number (OEN). You can find your child’s OEN number on their report card.

On behalf of the staff, Mr. Morton and I we would like to wish you a fantastic long weekend and we look forward to an amazing year at Brookville.
